I help men and women free themselves from their emotional and relationship struggles by supporting them to understand and strengthen their own sense of self.
I am a counsellor in Edinburgh qualified and experienced in counselling, psychotherapy and coaching.
Counselling is often more about your personal life and inner world, and coaching more about work and achieving your goals. But the two are often closely related.
Whatever is troubling you – anxiety, stress, depression, relationships, work – you probably want to talk about it. Where friends and family might offer sympathy and advice, I can offer a more therapeutic approach. Through a non-judgemental exploration of your life experience, we can work together to change how you feel, how you respond, and how you are.
My comfortable, quiet counselling room in the Craiglockhart area of Edinburgh is just a short drive or bus ride from town. It’s easy to reach, and easy to settle into.
I hope you will find what you are looking for on this website. I am also happy to talk with you about how therapy works, and any other queries you may have. If you are interested, we can speak on the phone, or meet for an initial exploratory session free of charge.
As one of my clients said of their counselling…
“It was a great experience – having someone listening to me who was ‘on the outside’ and not involved in my life. Someone who didn’t judge me, and helped me not to judge myself too harshly either. Who understood me. Who showed empathy. But who also probed deeper and helped me to identify issues I wasn’t aware of.
I am a happy person again. I’ve learnt so much about myself. I have learnt to like myself the way I am, and that I am worth being liked.”
